Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Labor & Delivery – Utah

Location: Millcreek, Utah

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 13-week assignment with rotating weekends (4 weekend shifts per month)
Highlights:
•
15 labor rooms, 3-bed triage bay, and 2 operating rooms serving a high-acuity patient population
•
Patient ratios of 1:1 for active labor, 1:2 or 1:3 for early labor/antepartum/triage
•
Epic EMR system with advanced fetal monitoring technology including telemetry and wireless monitoring systems
•
Comprehensive obstetric services including high-risk deliveries, operative deliveries, and cesarean sections
•
Collaborative multidisciplinary team including physicians, midwives, anesthesia, NICU, and postpartum staff
•
Hospital-provided laundered scrubs each shift with modern medical equipment and technology
Requirements:
•
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience in an acute care hospital setting
•
Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (AWHONN preferred)
•
Active Utah RN license or compact state license
•
Experience with fetal monitoring interpretation and independently managing laboring patients
•
Demonstrated experience circulating cesarean sections and managing obstetric emergencies
•
Proficiency with Epic EMR and electronic fetal monitoring systems
•
Ability to care for high-risk pregnancies including preeclampsia, multiple gestations, and postpartum hemorrhage
•
Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills with ability to adapt to fast-paced environments
Preferred Qualifications:
•
Experience with operative vaginal deliveries (vacuum/forceps), external cephalic versions, and cerclages
•
Background in antepartum patient management and newborn stabilization
•
Experience with magnesium sulfate administration and insulin drips in the obstetric setting
•
NICU or advanced newborn resuscitation experience
