Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Cardiac Telemetry – North Carolina
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Schedule: 3x12 night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage required (4 weekend shifts per 4-week period). Float required as needed. Holiday coverage required. Contract lengths available through February 27, 2027.
Highlights:
•
Specialized cardiac telemetry unit with 43-44 beds and diverse cardiovascular patient population
•
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 on a progressive care unit focused on post-surgical cardiac and vascular patients
•
Experience with advanced cardiac procedures including CABG, TAVR, Watchman, Mitral Clip, and electrophysiology
•
24-hour orientation with Epic charting system and comprehensive interdisciplinary support team
•
Exposure to complex cardiac diagnoses including atrial fibrillation, CHF, ACS, endocarditis, and cardiomyopathy
•
Equipment experience includes arterial lines, femoral sheaths, chest tubes, EKG, and cardiac monitoring devices
Requirements:
•
Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
•
BLS and ACLS certifications required
•
NIHSS certification preferred
•
Minimum 2 years of cardiac nursing experience required
•
Medical-Surgical/Telemetry/Step-down experience strongly preferred
•
Epic charting experience preferred
•
Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start date
•
Willingness to serve on Storm/Hurricane Team during catastrophic events or disasters
•
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
