Schedule: Full-time, Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Requirements:
•
Current Registered Nurse license in Texas or compact state
•
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
•
Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
•
Current STABLE certification (Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants) - Participant, Lead Instructor, or Support Instructor
•
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
•
One year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred; Perinatal RN Residency or recent practice in a Perinatal setting highly preferred
Responsibilities:
•
Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonatal patients utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
•
Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
•
Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness
•
Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly
•
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
•
Make appropriate assignments and delegate to care team members to manage clinical situations effectively
•
Complete annual competency verification requirements and attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days
