Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care for perioperative patients.

Coordinate perioperative workflow outside the sterile field, including patient preparation, documentation verification, and ensuring equipment readiness.
•
Serve as a circulator nurse, maintaining situational awareness, anticipating needs, supporting sterile staff, and documenting key intraoperative events.
•
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to provider orders and policy.
•
Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions or escalation of care.
•
Provide patient and family education related to care, medications, and discharge needs.
•
Collaborate effectively with providers and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and facilitate continuity of services.
•
Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
•
Exercise independent nursing judgment and critical thinking in determining appropriate nursing actions, interventions, and priorities.
•
Adhere to regulatory, safety, and infection prevention requirements within the nursing scope of practice.
•
Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, flexibility, and teamwork, including appropriate delegation to ancillary staff.

Float to other departments or assignments as needed to support patient care.
•
Strong knowledge of nursing principles, evidence-based practice, medication safety, and infection prevention.

Excellent clinical judgment, organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.
•
Proficiency in perioperative nursing practices, including sterile technique and surgical safety protocols.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical systems.
•
Ability to advocate for patients and assist them in navigating the healthcare system.
