Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), 36 hours per week. Every other weekend required, plus 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays in a 6-week period. Float and call requirements based on unit needs. Contract available through February 27, 2027.
Highlights:
•
High-acuity cardiac and stroke telemetry unit with 1:5-6 patient ratios
•
Fast-paced environment averaging 78-90 patient turnovers per week with team lead support
•
Care for pre/post cardiac procedures including pacemaker implantation, cardiac catheterization, ICD placement, and peripheral vascular interventions
•
Manage and titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Dopamine
•
Epic (Dimensions) charting system with Pyxis medication management
•
36-hour orientation program with dedicated first-week availability required
Requirements:
•
Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry nursing experience with high-acuity patient populations
•
Current RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
•
ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
•
Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry interpretation, cardiac drip management and titration
•
Experience with pre/post-procedure cardiac patients, PCI, TR bands, and cardiac catheterization care
•
Ability to manage 6-patient assignments comfortably in a fast-paced setting
•
Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start date
•
Epic charting experience preferred
•
First-time travelers accepted; local candidates welcome
