Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), every other weekend required with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. 2:1 patient ratio. No call requirement. Float requirement to Special Maternity Care high-risk OB unit as needed.
Highlights:

High-volume birthing unit averaging 20 births per 24 hours, 30-40 admits, and 40+ visits per day
•
Contract duration up to 20+ weeks through February 27, 2027
•
Epic EMR with Pyxis medication system and SBAR communication protocols
•
Comprehensive 24-hour orientation with scrubs provided
•
Obstetrical triage unit for screening and outpatient procedures including fetal surveillance and medication administration
•
Advanced intrapartum, high-risk antepartum, and postpartum care for obstetrical patients 16 weeks and greater
Requirements:
•
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required; 3 years strongly preferred
•
Proven experience in high-volume birth settings with 300+ births per month
•
Active North Carolina or Compact RN license
•
Current certifications: BLS, AWHONN Intermediate (or C-EFM), and NRP
•
Proficiency in circulating for cesarean sections, sterile vaginal exams, and immediate newborn care
•
Epic charting system experience required
•
Ability to manage double labor assignments and fast-paced, high-acuity environment
•
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
