Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) RN – Wisconsin

Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend and some holidays; no call required
Highlights:
•
27-bed Cardiovascular and Cardiothoracic ICU specializing in CABG, valve repair/replacement, heart and lung transplant, aortic dissection repair, LVAD, and thoracic surgery
•
Patient ratios of 1-2 patients per assignment; may care for up to 3 general care patients when acuity is low
•
Dynamic unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, physical therapy, and radiology
•
Epic charting system with 24 hours of orientation provided
•
Magnet-designated teaching facility ranked among the nation's leading hospitals and referral centers
•
Advanced cardiac technology including CRRT (NxStage), IABP, Impella, LVAD, ECMO, and Zoll Thermoguard
Requirements:
•
Active RN license in Wisconsin or compact state license
•
Minimum of 2 years acute care CVICU experience within the last 3 years
•
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
•
Previous travel nursing experience required
•
Trauma Level I experience required
•
Experience and knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine required
•
Experience in a Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area preferred
•
Epic charting system experience required
•
Must pass telemetry exam prior to start date with strict passing criteria including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and 80% overall passing score
•
Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
•
Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions available)
•
Willingness to float as needed
