Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical Telemetry – Wisconsin

Schedule: Day/Night rotating, 12-hour shifts (0700-1930, 1900-0730) with every other weekend rotation and holidays as needed. Rotators will not be scheduled to flip between days/nights more than 2 times in a 6-week scheduling period, with 36 hours off between scheduled night shift ending and day shift beginning.

Adult medical-surgical telemetry unit serving primarily geriatric population with a variety of conditions and diagnoses under the Family Medicine service

25-room unit with daily census of approximately 20 patients; EPIC charting system required
•
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, physical therapy, and more
•
Unit includes specialized locked wing for Department of Corrections patients (0-10 at any given time) with DOC officer accompaniment for safety
•
Flexible scheduling with protected time off between shift rotations to support work-life balance
Requirements:
•
Active RN license in good standing
•
Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in medical-surgical specialty
•
BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
•
EPIC charting system experience required
•
Proficiency in starting and maintaining IVs
•
Must pass telemetry competency exam prior to start with strict passing criteria: 100% identification of lethal rhythms, 80% overall passing score (two attempts allowed)
•
Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, central line management, PICC lines, wound care, and management of diverse patient populations
•
Previous experience with law enforcement/corrections patient care preferred
•
Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
•
Candidates must reside 50+ miles from facility
