Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN), Medical/Surgical/Trauma ICU – Wisconsin

Schedule: 12-hour day/evening shifts with every other weekend and some holidays; 4x12 schedule available; Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are required

Epic charting system; 2:1 patient ratio across all shifts

Be part of an academic medical center engaged in evidence-based therapies and research studies
•
Serve as an emergency responder throughout the facility alongside a collaborative, high-performing team
Requirements:
•
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience (Medical, Surgical, and/or Trauma ICU)
•
Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license
•
Epic EMR experience required
•
BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
•
Must pass telemetry competency exam prior to start with strict passing criteria
•
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
•
Must reside at least 50 miles from facility
•
Floating to other units as needed
Key Skills:
•
Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients
•
Titration of vasoactive and cardiac drips
•
Arterial line, central line, and PICC line management
•
Blood product administration and IV insulin protocols
•
High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) and BiPAP/CPAP management
•
Interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias
•
Experience with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, respiratory failure, and trauma care
Patient Population:
Adult and geriatric patients with complex diagnoses including respiratory failure (ARDS, ECMO), post-code care, sepsis, GI bleeds, post-operative management, liver transplant, vascular surgery, and trauma
Interdisciplinary Support:
Collaborate with physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, interpretation services, and unit secretaries
