Key Responsibilities of the RN - Emergency Room/Emergency Department
•
Perform strong clinical and rapid patient assessments
•
Recognize changes in patient condition and apply critical thinking
•
Work effectively in a fast-paced emergency department
•
Conduct procedures such as moderate sedation, RSI, CPR, PIV/IO, splinting, and EKG
•
Administer blood transfusions and TNK
•
Monitor cardiac functions and perform stroke and trauma assessments
•
Participate in resuscitation and sepsis workups
Requirements of the RN - Emergency Room/Emergency Department
•
TNCC, ENPC or PALS, ACLS, BLS, CPI certifications
•
Strong clinical skills and rapid patient assessment capabilities
•
2+ years of experience in a high-volume ED, preferably in a Level 1 or 2 Trauma Center
