# Job Opportunity – Level III NICU Registered Nurse – VirginiaStart Date: October 26, 2026

Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week, 13 or 26-week assignment available. Required to work 3 weekends per 6-week scheduling period and 2 out of 3 winter holidays. Float rotation to PICU, Pediatrics, Postpartum, and Labor & Delivery as needed.Highlights:- 54-bed Level III NICU caring for neonates and infants with complex conditions including extreme prematurity, cardiac anomalies, and post-operative surgical patients- Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity level (ICU vs. stepdown)- Epic charting system with 36 hours of orientation provided- Comprehensive interdisciplinary team support including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services- Advanced equipment and procedures including ECMO, high-frequency ventilation, iNO therapy, whole body cooling, and tracheostomy management- Clinical review with auto-offer for qualified candidatesRequirements:- Active Virginia RN license (pending accepted, must be in hand by Wednesday before start date)- Minimum 2 years of full-time Level III NICU experience (Level IV highly preferred)- BLS and NRP certifications required at submission- Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate required (can submit with pending status)- Epic charting system experience required- Nursys verification required with submission- Strong clinical competency with high-frequency ventilators, conventional ventilators, iNO, tracheostomies, NIPPV/NIMV, CPAP/BiPAP, IV fluid management including drips, hemodynamic support, post-operative care, whole body cooling, IV placements, lab draws, wound/drain/line care, ostomy care, and ABG interpretation- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)- BSN preferredWhy It's a Great Opportunity:This position offers the chance to work in a high-acuity NICU environment where you'll care for the most vulnerable patients, including extreme premature infants and those with complex cardiac and surgical needs.
