Key Responsibilities of the RN - MedSurg/Tele

•

Provide care for patients with acute or chronic diseases, post-operative surgeries, and common med-surg population comorbidities

•

Conduct clinical assessments, manage trach care, chest tubes, and PIV starts

•

Administer insulin and heparin drips, along with drips to titrate heart rate

•

Perform IV insertion, central line management, wound care, and post-op monitoring

•

Interpret cardiac monitoring and telemetry

•

Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and manage discharge planning and patient education

Requirements of the RN - MedSurg/Tele

•

BLS (Basic Life Support) required

•

BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm) required

•

2 years of Med/Tele RN experience

•

Strong clinical assessment and med-surg nursing skills
