Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required; must work or provide on-call coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
Highlights:

Level IV NICU with 37 beds including a Special Care Nursery providing advanced critical care for neonates

Patient ratios: 1:2 in NICU, 1:3-4 in Special Care Nursery

EPIC charting system experience required

13-week assignment at a 628-bed academic medical center

Opportunity to work with high-acuity patients requiring ECMO, therapeutic hypothermia, high-frequency ventilation, and complex surgical interventions

Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers; first-time travelers welcome
Requirements:
•
Active New Jersey RN license or Compact license required at time of submission
•
BLS and NRP certifications required; PALS preferred
•
Minimum 2 years of current Level III or Level IV NICU experience
•
EPIC experience required
•
Proficiency in developmental care, respiratory support (bubble CPAP, HFNC, ventilator management), line management (A-line, UAC/UVC, central lines), administration of blood products, IV vasopressors, and neonatal medications
•
Experience with GI/nutrition support including breastfeeding support, NEC, and tube placement/feeding
•
Willingness to float to Newborn Nursery, Pediatrics, and PICU for appropriate assignments within skillset
•
Charge experience preferred; experience with jet vents, oscillators, ECMO, therapeutic hypothermia, and neonatal transport preferred
