Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), 36 or 48-hour contracts available, 13-26 week assignments accepted, every other weekend required, no call
Highlights:

Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit with 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
•
36-bed unit caring for adults and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses including diabetes, CHF, COPD, sepsis, renal failure, and post-surgical recovery
•
Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management and 24 hours of paid orientation
•
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
•
Float required to other medical-surgical units within the healthcare system
•
Maximum of 7 days requested time off per contract; must be available to work holidays
Requirements:
•
Active North Carolina or Compact RN license
•
BLS and NIHSS certification required; ACLS preferred
•
Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience required
•
Must pass EKG interpretation testing prior to start date
•
Charge nurse experience preferred
•
First-time travelers accepted
•
Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management, telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, central line care, wound care, chest tube management, and BiPAP/CPAP
•
Experience with blood product administration, PCA pumps, insulin protocols, and heparin management
•
Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
