Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Telemetry/Progressive Care – Wisconsin
Start Date: October 26, 2026
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts available (7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am). Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required. Patient ratio 1:3.

7-bed unit census with specialized focus on post-surgical thoracic and cardiac procedures
•
Trauma Level II facility with preferred Trauma Level I experience welcomed
Requirements:
•
Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact State RN license
•
BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
•
Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in specialty
•
Telemetry, oncology, cardiac, and PCU/stepdown experience required
•
Ventilator and transplant experience required
•
Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (strict passing criteria apply)
•
ICU or IMC and surgical post-operative experience required
•
Epic charting system experience required; thoracic experience preferred
•
Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
•
Must reside 50+ miles from facility
Clinical Skills:
•
Cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
•
Arterial line management and ABG interpretation
•
Central line, PICC line, and port management
•
Ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula
•
Chest tube management (Emerson/PleurEvac systems)
•
Blood product administration and IV insulin/heparin protocols
•
Vasoactive and insulin drip titration
•
Pre/post cardiac catheterization and cardiac surgery care
•
Wound care/wound vac management
•
IV starts and phlebotomy
Patient Population:
•
Adult and geriatric patients
•
Post-operative thoracic surgery including esophagectomies, lung volume reduction, wedge resections, lobectomies, and decortications
•
Cardiac surgery stepdown patients
•
Hospitalist and acute medical patients
