Schedule: 12-hour rotating days/nights schedule. Shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on departmental needs. If accepting a rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both.
Highlights:
•
24-bed Medical ICU caring for adult and geriatric patients with complex, hemodynamically compromised conditions
•
Advanced patient population including oncologic emergencies, COPD, ARDS, sepsis, gastrointestinal bleeds, and neuromuscular diseases
•
Extensive experience with mechanical ventilation, CRRT (NxStage machines), pulmonary artery catheter placement, arterial pressure monitoring, and central venous catheters
•
Epic electronic medical records system required
•
72 hours of orientation provided; first-time travelers welcome
•
Two pre-approved time off requests available per contract
Requirements:
•
Current, active acute care experience in Medical ICU or critical care setting within the last 12 months
•
Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
•
Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
•
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
•
Epic charting system experience required
•
Proficiency with mechanical ventilation, IV starts, arterial line management, vasoactive and cardiac drip titration
•
Experience with advanced procedures including CRRT, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, EVD management, and continuous IV sedation
•
Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
•
Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor)
•
Willingness to complete urgent Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
•
Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
