Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Schedule: Every other weekend required; shifts scheduled based on department needs with flexibility to work across all sections of the Emergency Department
Highlights:

Work in a high-volume, 101-bed Emergency Department serving over 100,000 patient visits annually
•
Serve as the region's referral center for a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
•
Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical cases; up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
•
State-of-the-art equipment including Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system
•
Multidisciplinary team support with techs, unit clerks, and cardiac monitoring specialists available days and nights
•

Requirements:
•
Active North Carolina RN license
•
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
•
Level II trauma center and high-volume ED experience strongly preferred
•
ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
•
ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
•
Ability to float to all sections within the Emergency Department
•
Strong teamwork mentality with ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
