Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse – Ohio
Start Date: November 2, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights or nights only based on department needs); shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period; 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio; 36 beds; 72 hours orientation
Highlights:
•
Mixed acuity unit serving both progressive care (PCU) and medical-surgical patients with a focus on head and neck cancers, neuro-oncology, and brain tumors
•
Oncology experience preferred but not required; acute care experience in specialty must be current and consistent within the last 12 months
•
Epic EMR system required; GE telemetry monitoring (B450 monitors), Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds in use
•
Strong interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, rapid response teams, and more
•
Float requirements limited to units of equivalent or lower acuity within the medical-surgical oncology service line
•
Previous travel experience preferred; one pre-approved time off period available
Requirements:
•
Current Ohio RN license or valid compact license in hand at time of submission
•
Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required (must be current and active in specialty)
•
Epic charting experience required
•
Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification required
•
ACLS, NIHSS, and OCN certifications preferred (may be required)
•
Competency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care and management (including suctioning and inner cannula changes), drain management (JP, Hemovac), and BiPAP/CPAP management
•
Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias preferred
•
Administration of chemotherapy experience a plus
•
Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
•
Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
•
2 professional references required: at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor; charge nurse acceptable as second reference
