Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Pennsylvania
Start Date: November 2, 2026
Location: Abington, Pennsylvania

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week. Every third weekend required (Friday/Saturday). At least one major holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day) required during assignment.
Highlights:

High-volume Level 3 NICU and regional transfer center performing approximately 5,000 deliveries annually

No floating required; no on-call requirements

21 labor and delivery beds, 8-bed triage, 3 operating rooms on unit, and 3-bay PACU
•
Patient ratio of 1:2 with Epic charting system
•
13-week assignment with scrubs provided
•
Block scheduling may be considered
Requirements:
•
Current Pennsylvania RN license or compact state license
•
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
•
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
•
Previous travel nursing experience required
•
Active certifications: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and BLS (Basic Life Support)
•
AWHONN Intermediate or Beginner certification required
•
Experience with 1:2 patient ratios
•
Epic charting experience preferred
•
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
Clinical Skills:
•
High-risk antepartum and labor & delivery care
•
Cesarean section circulation and recovery
•
Neonatal resuscitation and infant identification
•
Fetal monitoring (external and internal), IUPC placement and calibration
•
Management of pregnancy complications including pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, and postpartum hemorrhage
•
Administration of Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, and other labor medications
•
Triage of obstetrical patients and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
•
Support for vaginal delivery, VBAC management, forceps/vacuum extraction, and multiple gestations
Facility Features:
•
Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and interpretation services
•
Specialized procedures on unit including post-partum tubal ligations, cerclages, and D&E procedures
•
Comprehensive orientation with modules completed during first shifts
