Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM. 36 and 48-hour weekly contracts accepted. Every other weekend required. Contracts available through February 27, 2027. Must be available for holiday coverage. Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract.
Highlights:

Emergency Department inpatient holding area supporting patients awaiting hospital beds with medical/surgical and telemetry diagnoses
•
Patient ratios: 1:6-1:7 for MS/Tele patients; may include PCU-level patients at 1:3-1:4 ratios
•
Float pool position with flexibility to support Emergency Department and Med/Surg areas as needed across multiple campuses
•
Epic charting system with standard cardiac monitoring equipment and IV pumps
•
12 hours of unit orientation provided; 8-10 hours of pre-start online modules required
•
Fast-paced environment requiring strong IV skills, telemetry interpretation, and critical thinking abilities
Requirements:
•
Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
•
Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
•
Previous travel nursing experience required
•
Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
•
ACLS certification required; CPI certification preferred
•
Med/Surg Telemetry and Emergency Department holding experience required
•
Epic charting system experience preferred
•
Proficiency in starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and blood product administration
•
Must pass facility EKG testing prior to start date
•
Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
•
Ability to complete required laboratory testing and pre-employment requirements within 48 hours of offer acceptance
