Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry Oncology / Progressive Care – Wisconsin

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Schedule: Day/Evening, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM. Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required. 36 hours orientation provided. Patient ratios: 1:3 for general care, 1:2 for IMC level patients.
Highlights:
•
Work in two specialized units: IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care and IMC Thoracic unit within a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma Center
•
Care for acutely ill adult patients with complex medical conditions including cystic fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and post-lung transplant patients
•
Utilize Epic charting system in a 29-bed unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
•
Work collaboratively in an academic medical center environment where nurses are integral members of the multidisciplinary team
•
13-week travel assignment in a fast-paced, teaching hospital setting with opportunities for professional growth
•
Must successfully complete telemetry examination prior to assignment start date
Requirements:
•
Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license required
•
BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
•
Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience within the last 3 years
•
PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
•
Telemetry oncology and cardiac experience required
•
Level I or II Trauma Center experience required
•
Ventilator and transplant experience required (strong proficiency mandatory)
•
Previous travel nursing experience required
•
Epic charting system experience required
•
Must pass telemetry examination with strict criteria: 100% identification of lethal rhythms, 80% overall passing score
•
Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
•
Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
