Job Title: CNA Profession: Living Center North CNA Specialty: LTC Duration: 18 weeks Shift: FT Nights Hours per Shift: 37.5 hours per week Experience: One (1) year of previous Long-Term Care (LTC) experience License: NYS Nursing Assistant Certification Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - High School Diploma or GED - One (1) year of experience in LTC or CNA capacity Description: Resident's ADL needs are met as outlined in the plan of care and in accordance with policies and procedures within a safe and comfortable environment. This includes hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence and catheter care, elimination and toileting needs, turning and positioning, and skin care. Documentation is completed per protocol. Resident's environment and safety are maintained as outlined in the plan of care and in accordance with policies and procedures. This includes answering call lights and alarms promptly, provision of safety mats and low beds, use of restraints under the direction of Nursing, maintaining cleanliness of the unit, behavior and fall prevention, and appropriate monitoring for malfunctioning equipment. Documentation is completed per protocol. Resident's nutritional needs are met as outlined in the plan of care and in accordance with policies and procedures. This includes meal delivery, tray preparation, adaptive equipment, feeding, and providing nourishments. Resident's preferences and choices shall be honored. Documentation is completed per protocol. Resident's rehabilitative needs are met as outlined in the plan of care and in accordance with policies and procedures. This includes range of motion exercises, ambulation, transfers, maintaining proper body alignment, and use of assistive devices. Documentation is completed per protocol. Resident's rights, refusals, and concerns are reported to the Charge Nurse or Supervising Nurse in a timely fashion in accordance with policies and procedures. Changes in resident physical, emotional, and psychosocial status are identified and reported to the Charge Nurse promptly. Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens is reasonably anticipated. Required tasks may involve potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.
