Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse – North Carolina
Start Date: October 26, 2026
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend required, floating as needed
Highlights:

Patient ratio of 1:5-6 with comprehensive multi-level care

Contract length flexible: 36 or 48-hour contracts accepted, with extensions available through February 27, 2027

Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
•
24-hour orientation program with required first-week hospital orientation classes
•
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, pharmacy, and physical therapy
•
Up to 7 days of pre-approved time off available (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays
Requirements:
•
Active North Carolina or Compact RN license
•
Current BLS certification required
•
Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
•
Must successfully pass EKG testing prior to start date
•
Proficiency in blood product administration, heparin protocols, IV insulin drips, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
•
Experience with isolation precautions/PPE, PCA pumps, peripheral line management, wound care/wound vac, and non-invasive airway management
•
Charge experience strongly preferred
•
Epic charting experience preferred
•
Ability to work Storm Team/Hurricane Team during catastrophic events or disasters as assigned
•
Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
