•
Provide comprehensive surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care before, during, and after surgery
•
Perform patient assessments, maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment, and deliver pre- and post-operative patient education
•
Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being throughout the surgical care continuum
•
Primarily function in a circulating role across a broad range of surgical specialties including vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotics, urology, and ENT
•
Support coverage in Labor & Delivery for C-sections as needed across a 14-room OR suite
•
Utilize EPIC EMR for all documentation and patient care coordination
•
Active New York RN License (current and in good standing; facility will not pend licenses or certifications)
•
BLS – American Heart Association (AHA) required
•
ACLS – American Heart Association (AHA) required
•
Minimum 2+ years of current OR experience required
•
EPIC EMR experience required
•
Experience floating to vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotics, urology, and ENT required
•
Both scrub and circulate experience required
•
Prior travel nursing experience required
•
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
•
Must have personal reliable transportation; a personal vehicle is a firm requirement
•
Must reside outside of the following New York counties to be eligible for this travel assignment: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
•
Completion of de-escalation training from an approved provider (Welle, CPI, or PMCS) required for onboarding and clearance
•
Must be able to pass a 14-panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer acceptance
•
Work in a well-established, full-service community hospital OR with 14 operating rooms and exposure to a wide variety of surgical specialties
•
Located in a vibrant small city along the Hudson River offering museums, local dining, seasonal festivals, and year-round recreational activities — an excellent destination for a spring or summer travel assignment
