Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Neurosurgery/Medical-Surgical/Telemetry – Wisconsin

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday with weekend rotation and holiday coverage as needed. Patient ratio 1:4.

25-bed neurosurgery general care unit serving a diverse medical and surgical neuro patient population including stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, ALS, Guillain-Barre syndrome, traumatic brain injury, and post-surgical cases

Work within a Magnet-designated facility recognized as Wisconsin's top-ranked hospital and a Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Program
•
Epic charting system with 24 hours of orientation provided
•
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
•
Opportunity to advance nursing skills in a fast-paced specialty environment utilizing evidence-based practice

Requirements:
•
Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
•
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in Neuro MS/Telemetry within the last 3 years
•
BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
•
Epic charting system experience required
•
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
•
Must pass telemetry competency exam prior to start with strict passing criteria (80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms, no errors on 3rd degree heart blocks)
•
Trauma Level I experience preferred
•
Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
•
Floating to other units as needed
