Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week, every other weekend or three weekend shifts per month
Highlights:

24-bed CVICU with ECMO center capabilities, currently managing 3+ ECMO patients
•
High-acuity patient population including cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients, Impella-Assisted High-Risk PCI, and cardiogenic shock program
•
Primary RN model with unit clerk support; patient ratios designed for optimal critical care delivery
•
Advanced technology including Alaris pumps, Level 1 Rapid Transfusion, and ECMO equipment
•
Meditech electronic medical record system for documentation
•
Float only to other critical care units as needed
Requirements:
•
Current RN license in good standing
•
Minimum 1-2 years of critical care experience required
•
Demonstrated competency with vasoactive infusions, arterial lines, invasive central lines, and ventilator management
•
Experience with cardiothoracic surgery and cardiology patients strongly preferred
•
BLS certification required; ACLS and other critical care certifications as required by facility
•
Ability to work night shifts and rotating weekend schedule
Clinical Experience:
This CVICU specializes in complex cardiovascular care with procedures including chest tube placement, central line placement, bronchoscopy, and percutaneous tracheostomy performed at bedside. The unit supports a robust surgical program with heavy volume for both cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients, advanced cardiology interventions, and mechanical circulatory support.
