•
Emergency patients from neonates to geriatrics
•
Pediatric experience- preferred 1% peds population
•
Chest Pain, Abd Pain, Stroke, Neuro
•
Air transport AMI patients
•
2 Psych Patients average/ week
Patient Ratios:
•
Nurse - 1:4 (days) 1:5 (nights)
Required Certifications:
•
ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC, NIHSS
•
De-escalation not required
Skills required
•
Triage, assisting with RSI/intubation, procedural sedation, restraints, blood products -mass transfusion, experience in stroke -neuro alert /criteria, trauma activations/care, Cardiac -STEMI
Support on the Unit:
•
Charge nurse: does this person have patient load: Yes; mostly full patient load
•
Phlebotomy- assist with blood draws if needed
•
Bedside/nurses station tele monitoring
Charting System/Equipment:
Floating: No
Orientation: 1 day of hospital and 1 day of unit orientation.
Scheduling:
•
Weekend rotation every 3 rd other
•
Can we approve time off: Up to 7 days; if more contact Steve
•
Will they be on call: If so, what is that schedule: No
