You will assess and treat patients in fast-paced situations, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and use electronic medical record (EMR) systems. To qualify, you need a current California RN license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and recent emergency room experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications are recommended. Recommended skills include adaptability, strong communication, quick decision-making, and proficiency with EMR systems.
