Job Title: Full Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Profession: CNA Specialty: Long Term Care (LTC) Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Day/Evening shift rotations Hours per Shift: 7.5 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year as a licensed CNA in a long-term care setting License: NYS Nursing Assistant Certification Certifications: BLS (must be through AHA or RQI) Must-Have: High School Diploma or GED Description: This position is for a Full Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). You will work 7.5 hours per day, 5 days a week, totaling 37.5 hours. Rotating shifts include day and evening shifts with every other weekend and holiday required. A Client Nursing Assistant Certification is required along with a minimum of one year of experience working as a licensed CNA in a long-term care setting. Job functions include: Assisting residents with daily living needs including hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and skin care per care plan. Maintaining resident safety and environment by responding to call lights, using safety equipment, preventing falls, and cleaning the unit. Supporting residents with meals by delivering trays, helping with feeding, using adaptive equipment, and honoring food preferences. Assisting with mobility and rehabilitation needs, including range of motion, walking, transfers, proper positioning, and use of aids. Taking and recording vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Measuring and recording weight, intake, and output. Assisting with the admission, transfer, and discharge of residents. Helping with resident social and emotional needs through interaction and companionship. Maintaining confidentiality and residents' rights at all times. Reporting resident concerns, changes, or refusals to the nurse promptly. Completing all required documentation in a timely manner per protocol. Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated. Required tasks may lead to contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving.
