Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week. Rotating weekdays and weekends (4 weekend shifts per 4-week period), rotating holidays. Float required within the organization as needed.

3:1 patient ratio across all shifts

Epic charting system experience required

Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
•
First-time travelers welcome; minimum 1 year of PCU experience required
•
36 hours of orientation provided
Requirements:
•
Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
•
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
•
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
•
Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
•
Epic charting system experience required
•
Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
•
Required skills: Cardiac telemetry, blood product administration, central line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, chest tube management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin and cardiac drip titration, tracheostomy care, high flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, and pre/post hemodialysis management
•
2 professional references required (at least 1 must be from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
•
Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)

Additional Information:
Parking permits are available for purchase ranging from annual surface lot options to monthly garage permits. Ohio fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly upon contract signing. Candidates should be prepared to complete compliance requirements by the Tuesday prior to start date. Former employees are eligible to apply if they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more.
