Job Opportunity – Emergency Department RN – Virginia
Start Date: October 26, 2026 (additional start dates available)
Location: Charlottesville, Virginia

Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week, 13-week assignment. Weekend coverage required with variable scheduling based on staffing needs. Two out of three winter holidays required. Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed.
Highlights:

Level I Trauma Center with comprehensive stroke and chest pain (STEMI) center capabilities
•
High-acuity emergency department with 71 beds and approximately 165 visits per day
•
Patient ratios of 4-5 patients across all shifts, caring for all age groups including pediatrics
•
Epic charting system with 24 hours of orientation provided
•
Full interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
•
Up to 40 hours of time off available during the 13-week contract
Requirements:
•
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required
•
Must have either 1 year of Level I trauma facility experience OR 2 years of Level II trauma facility experience
•
Pediatric patient care experience required (does not need to be in a dedicated pediatric ED)
•
Active Virginia RN license or license pending (must be in hand by Wednesday before start date)
•
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required; TNCC may be pending but must be obtained before start date
•
Epic EMR experience required
•
Flu vaccination required with no exemptions; COVID-19 vaccination not required
