Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Schedule: 3x12 night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (36 hours per week). Weekend requirement: 5-6 shifts over a 6-week scheduling period. Float required as needed based on unit census. Contract lengths of 13-26 weeks available.
Highlights:
•
Fast-paced cardiac telemetry unit caring for patients with congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, pacemaker/ICD implantations, and pre/post cardiac catheterization
•
Patient ratio of 1:5-6 with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and physical therapy
•
Experience with cardiac drips (Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine), sheath pulls, TR bands, and Femstop procedures
•
Epic charting system with 24 hours of paid orientation
•
43-bed unit with daily census of 42 patients requiring strong telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management skills
•

Requirements:
•
Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license accepted)
•
Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
•
Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Telemetry, PCU, IMC, or Stepdown experience required
•
Strong experience with interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of cardiac patients
•
Proficiency with cardiac drip management and titration, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care
•
Experience with Epic charting system preferred
•
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and willing to float as needed
•
EKG testing proficiency required prior to start date
•
Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
•
Ability and willingness to serve on Storm Team/Hurricane Team during catastrophic events or disasters
