Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Profession: Living Center CNA Specialty: Long Term Care (LTC) Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Day/Evening shift rotations, every other weekend/holiday required Hours per Shift: 7.5 hours, 5 days/week (37.5 hours/week) Experience: Minimum 1 year as licensed CNA in a long-term care setting License: NYS Nursing Assistant Certification Certifications: BLS (must be through AHA or RQI) Must-Have: High School Diploma or GED Description: Full-time CNA position available for day/evening shift rotations with an expectation of working every other weekend and holiday. NYS Nursing Assistant Certification is required. A minimum of one year of experience as a licensed CNA in a long-term care setting is necessary. The role involves assisting residents with daily living needs, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and skin care as per care plan. Maintaining resident safety and a clean environment is essential, including responding to call lights and using safety equipment to prevent falls. Support residents with meals by delivering trays and assisting with feeding while honoring food preferences. Assist with mobility and rehabilitation needs, which may include range of motion exercises, walking, transfers, and proper positioning. Record and monitor vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Measure and document weight, intake, and output as required. Assist with the admission, transfer, and discharge processes for residents. Provide companionship and support for the social and emotional needs of residents. Maintain confidentiality and respect residents' rights at all times. Report any resident concerns, changes, or refusals to the nurse promptly. Complete all required documentation in a timely manner according to protocol. Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is anticipated; tasks may involve contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.
