Schedule: Flex day/night rotation, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Travelers on 48-hour contracts will be guaranteed 36 hours during orientation week due to midweek start.
Highlights:

25-bed independent Critical Access Hospital with diverse patient population

Primarily adult Med/Surg patients with occasional pediatric cases

Broad scope of practice including medical, surgical, observation, swing bed, outpatient, and occasional pediatric care
•
Opportunity to serve as Charge RN and Preceptor when needed
•
Meditech EMR experience preferred
•
Located in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom with year-round outdoor recreation opportunities
Requirements:
•
Minimum of 3 years of recent acute care RN experience required
•
Charge RN experience preferred
•
Current Vermont RN license or Compact Multi-State RN License
•
BLS (American Heart Association) required
•
ACLS (American Heart Association) required
•
Flu vaccination required with no exceptions
•
Dependable personal vehicle required (rural location with no public transportation)
•
All credentials must be uploaded at least five business days prior to start date

About the Role:
As a Registered Nurse on this assignment, you'll coordinate and deliver exceptional patient care while working with a dedicated interdisciplinary team. You'll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while meeting the physiological, psychosocial, spiritual, and developmental needs of patients across the lifespan. This position offers valuable Critical Access Hospital experience with clinical variety and the opportunity to sharpen your clinical judgment and decision-making skills. You'll collaborate closely with providers, nursing leadership, and support staff to ensure safe, compassionate, and high-quality care in an environment that values your expertise.
Important Information:

This is primarily an adult medical/surgical unit; pediatric-only RNs will not be considered
•
Personal transportation is necessary due to rural location; nearest major airport is approximately two hours away
•
Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing accommodations; local resources and recommendations available upon request
•
Orientation begins on Wednesdays
•
