Job Opportunity – PACU Registered Nurse – North Dakota
Start Date: October 26, 2026
Location: Fargo, North Dakota
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 8 or 12-hour shifts with varied weekend rotation; occasional nights; backup call rotation with staff (approximately 2 weeknights per month and up to every 4th weekend)
Highlights:

Phase I PACU supporting a Level 1 Trauma Center with dual-floor operation (18-bay and 14-bay units serviced by the same team)
•
Diverse case mix including all surgical specialties, adult and pediatric patients, ICU, Cath Lab, Endoscopy, and Interventional Radiology post-procedure care
•
ASPAN-standard nurse-to-patient ratios (1:1 or 2:1 depending on acuity)
•
Epic charting system with modern equipment including Phillips monitors, ventilators, BiPap, and AcuDose medication dispensing
•
Potential to float between campuses for Phase I PACU coverage
•
Hospital-provided scrubs and comprehensive orientation with buddy RN support
Requirements:
•
Active North Dakota RN license (must be in hand to submit)
•
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (all American Heart Association)
•
Minimum 2 years of PACU experience in an acute care/hospital setting (outpatient surgery center experience does not qualify)
•
Experience in large hospital environments (250+ beds preferred)
•
Ability to care for high-acuity patients and pediatric population (average 5 to 15 pediatric patients per day)
•
Critical Care experience strongly preferred
•
Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility
