Job Title: Radiology RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Radiology CWR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of two years of nursing experience in an acute care facility; preferred radiology experience License: State Professional Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: IV insertion, port access, allergy reactions Description: A Registered Nurse involves the delivery of nursing practices according to the most up-to-date evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care. The role ensures safe and excellent delivery of individualized patient care. A typical day includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. Nurses will cover CAT Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine/PET. Essential Duties include evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The Registered Nurse plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patients’ needs. They identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluations. The role involves developing, implementing, and coordinating individualized plans of care through initial and ongoing assessments. Registered Nurses initiate assessments based on patients’ problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework. They perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage care of patients. Documentation of care is based on standards of care, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities. The Registered Nurse advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. Patient-centric care is provided in alignment with the professional nursing practice model. Comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation is collected systematically. Age and disease-specific assessments/data collection are performed independently, focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status. Clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status are recognized. The Registered Nurse identifies variables in patient/family education needs based on age, disease, and culturally specific learning differences. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Weekend requirement is every fifth week and holiday requirement is one holiday as needed. There is no on-call or float requirement for this position.
