Schedule:
12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement (6 weekend shifts per contract). Patient ratios 1:5-6. Floating to qualified units may be required based on facility needs.
Highlights:
- 26-bed orthopedic spine telemetry unit specializing in post-operative spinal surgery care including laminectomies, spinal fusions, and discectomies- Comprehensive patient care including pain management coordination, mobility support, and integrated physical therapy- Diverse case mix: orthopedic spine patients, medical-surgical, telemetry, cardiac, low-risk ACS, TIAs, diabetes management, COPD, and more- Special procedures include bedside lumbar puncture, post-catheterization care (radial/femoral), post-surgical monitoring, heparin drips, and post-renal biopsy care- Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center designation with 641 licensed beds- EPIC charting system with 12 hours of paid orientation and up to 16 hours of billable pre-assignment modules
Requirements:
- Active South Carolina or multistate nursing license (pending licenses not accepted)- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience; 2 years preferred- Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required- Orthopedic nursing experience required- Experience with patient ratios of 5-6 patients- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and dysrhythmia certification- First-time travelers accepted; previous charge experience preferred
