Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg/Telemetry – Wisconsin

Schedule: Day/Night rotating 12-hour shifts (0700-1930, 1900-0730) with every other weekend rotation and holiday coverage as needed. Rotators will not flip between days/nights more than twice in a 6-week scheduling period, with 36 hours off scheduled between night and day shifts.

•
Primarily adult and geriatric med/surg patients with a variety of acute and chronic conditions under Family Medicine service
•
Secure forensic wing with DOC officer accompaniment when caring for forensic patients (0-10 patients at any given time)
Requirements:
•
Current Wisconsin RN license
•
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care med/surg/telemetry experience required
•
BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
•
Epic EMR experience required
•
Proficiency in IV starts and management required
•
Must pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (100% identification of lethal rhythms, 80% overall passing score)
•
Skills required: telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, central line and PICC management, PCA pumps, wound care, insulin/heparin administration, isolation precautions
•
Previous forensic or law enforcement patient care experience preferred
•
Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
•
Willingness to float as needed
