Job Opportunity – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse – New Jersey

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required; flexible nurse-to-patient ratios (1:1, 1:2 for critical care; 1:3 for step-down); includes holiday coverage requirement (work or provide on-call for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)

Requirements:
•
Active New Jersey or Compact State RN license required at time of submission
•
Minimum 2+ years of PICU critical care experience; 1 year of cardiac experience strongly preferred (must be documented on skills checklist)
•
Current BLS and PALS certifications required; NRP preferred
•
Epic charting experience required
•
Previous travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
•
At least one supervisory reference required at time of submission
•
Extensive critical care skills including: IV therapy, central line management, ventilator care, hemodynamic monitoring, administration of vasopressors and continuous sedation, pediatric dosage calculations, chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and telemetry monitoring
•
Experience with advanced pediatric interventions including dialysis support, airway management, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and blood product administration
