Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown Registered Nurse – Ohio

Schedule: 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio across all shifts (days, nights, and weekends); 32-bed unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support
Highlights:

Progressive care unit specializing in telemetry, dysrhythmia management, and stepdown-level acuity
•
Care for a diverse patient population including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
•
Work with complex clinical interventions including cardiac and vasoactive drips with titration, IV insulin and heparin protocols, blood product administration, and wound vac management
•
EPIC electronic medical record system for streamlined documentation
•
Robust interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, physical therapy, rapid response teams, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
•
Experience caring for patients with renal failure, tracheostomy, non-invasive airway management (CPAP/BIPAP), and arterial line management
Requirements:
•
Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
•
Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in progressive care, stepdown, or telemetry setting
•
Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
•
Previous experience with 1:3 or 1:4 patient ratios preferred
•
EPIC charting experience strongly preferred
•
Experience in community hospital, LTAC, Trauma Level I or II settings preferred
•
Some ER experience, ER observation/holding, or medical-surgical telemetry experience required
•
Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
•
Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor)
