Schedule: Every other weekend required; flexible scheduling to meet departmental needs; no block scheduling available; must be available to work all sections within the Emergency Department
Highlights:

Work in a 101-bed Emergency Department at a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center serving over 100,000 patient visits annually
•
Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical patients; up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds
•
Utilize Cerner EMR, Baxter pumps, and GE monitoring equipment
•
Robust support staff including techs, unit clerks on all shifts, and specialized cardiac monitoring teams
•

Serve a diverse, multicultural community with over 120 languages represented in the local area
Requirements:
•
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
•
Previous experience in a Level II Trauma Center or Comprehensive Stroke Center strongly preferred
•
Required certifications (must be current prior to start): ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, ENPC
•
CPI certification required before date of hire
•
Teamwork mentality with ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
•
Flexibility to work in all sections of the Emergency Department
