Travelers may have the opportunity to act as charge nurse, but this is not mandatory. Weekend rotations are every other weekend. Working during holidays is expected as part of the rotation. Scheduling will follow a modified self-scheduling approach, where travelers can sign up for their preferred shifts. Management will review the shifts to ensure coverage and make adjustments as necessary. Travelers should communicate any issues or concerns to management, who will work collaboratively to resolve them. Scrub color is any solid color, and professional attire is required. During winter months, heavy snowfall is expected. If there are escalations, a code leader will assign roles to staff while de-escalating the patient. Travelers may lead these code situations if comfortable and should complete a debriefing form afterward. Travelers should feel free to ask for additional training in de-escalation techniques. Scenario-based training is offered every other week for practice.
