Title: Registered Nurse - ER
Duration: 18 weeks
Location: 196 North Street, Geneva, NY 14456
Schedule: Floating Shift 3x12-Hour 36hours/week
Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts + 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks
Shift: Day/Night/Weekend/Holiday rotation
Experience: 2 years acute hospital RN experience
ED Experience: 1 year hospital ED RN experience
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke Certification
Stroke Cert: Must be AHA or RQI
Core Responsibilities:
Triage patients using ESI standards and determine priority of care
Perform primary/secondary assessments and identify changes in condition
Provide emergency interventions and evaluate patient response
Manage invasive/non-invasive procedures and emergency treatments
Assess physiological, psychosocial, emotional, and cultural needs
Provide pain management, comfort, safety, and patient/family education
Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and treatments
Coordinate referrals and discharge education
Communicate effectively with patients, families, EMS, and healthcare teams
Delegate appropriately within staff scope of practice
Follow infection prevention and patient safety standards
Maintain ongoing awareness and communication of patient condition throughout the ED stay
Skills: Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Expertise Rating Move BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, NYS RN Licensure Required Two (2) Years Experience serving as a Registered Nurse, at least One (1) in an ER Environment Required 2 Years
