Key Responsibilities of the RN - Telemetry

•

Monitor cardiac telemetry patients with a 4 to 5:1 patient ratio

•

Administer amiodarone and Cardizem drips

•

Care for stroke patients and post-cath recovery (excluding sheath removal)

•

Assist with pacemaker placements

•

Float to other telemetry departments, med-surg, and PCU as needed

Requirements of the RN - Telemetry

•

ACLS certification

•

Experience with post-cath recovery and telemetry-specific procedures
