Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool – Georgia

Schedule: Float pool position requiring flexibility to facility scheduling needs. Every other weekend required. Patient ratios up to 1:6 on med-surg units, up to 1:7 on certain units. No call required. Schedule requests cannot be accommodated due to float pool nature of role.
Highlights:

Hospital float pool position with rotation through Emergency Department, ER Hold, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU units
•
Diverse case mix including post-surgical, medical, PCU stepdown patients, and ER hold patients
•
Epic charting system experience preferred
•
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Social Services
•
12-hour orientation with non-billable module completion tailored to specialty
•
Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract period
Requirements:
•
Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of application
•
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; previous travel experience required
•
Current certifications: ACLS and BLS
•
Experience with patient ratios of 4-6 patients
•
Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, care of ventilated patients, central line and PICC line management, IV therapy, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
•
Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips with titration capabilities
•
Competency in non-invasive airway management, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, and isolation precautions
•
Community hospital, Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
•
Must be flexible to float within facility and scope of practice, including Emergency Department
•
Full compliance documentation required prior to start date; all compliance items must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
