Job Opportunity – Neuro ICU Registered Nurse – Tennessee

Schedule: 36-hour orientation period, 2:1 patient ratio across all shifts (days, nights, weekends), three weekend shifts per 4-week schedule, holiday availability required
Highlights:

9-bed Neuro ICU specializing in post-TPA, post-surgical, stroke, and traumatic brain injury patients

Epic EMR system (recent experience within last 18 months required)

Float opportunities to other ICUs, Med/Surg/Telemetry, and Progressive Care units for skill diversity

Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and lift teams
•
First-time travelers welcome; local and travel candidates accepted at the same rate
•
One pre-approved time off period available
Requirements:
•
Valid Tennessee or compact RN license (must be active at time of submission)
•
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
•
Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg/Telemetry experience required; minimum 2 years preferred
•
Epic charting experience within the last 18 months (must be documented on profile and pass Epic competency exam)
•
Experience with 2:1 patient ratios
•
Must be willing to float to other ICUs, Med/Surg/Telemetry, and Progressive Care units
•
COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
•
Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
•
Two supervisory references required at submission
Preferred Qualifications:
•
Previous charge experience
•
Community hospital experience
•
Skills in neuro-specific care including CVA/stroke management, post-neurosurgery management, traumatic brain injury, ICP monitoring, and external ventricular drains
