Job Opportunity – Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse – North Carolina
Start Date: October 26, 2026
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM. Both 36-hour and 48-hour weekly contracts available. Contract lengths range from 13 to 26 weeks. Every other weekend required. Holiday coverage required. Call coverage as needed. Patient ratio 1:6.
Highlights:
•
Adult and geriatric medical/surgical patient population with daily census of approximately 43 patients
•
Skills include heparin drips, wound vac dressing changes, high-flow oxygen, and BiPAP support with respiratory team assistance
•
Epic charting system and Pyxis medication management
•
24-hour comprehensive orientation program with ongoing unit support
•
Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations as needed
•
Monthly unit team meetings required for all staff members
Requirements:
•
Current RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license accepted)
•
Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience required
•
BLS certification required
•
CPI certification preferred
•
Charge nurse experience preferred for night shift positions
•
First-time travelers accepted
•
Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start date
•
Epic charting experience preferred
•
Experience with interpretation of dysrhythmias and management protocols
•
Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
