Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (Emergency Room/Emergency Department)

•

Safely manage high-acuity and fast-paced emergency care

•

Accurately document within electronic medical records

•

Provide excellent patient care while demonstrating situational awareness

•

Adhere to patient safety and documentation standards

•

Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams

Requirements of the Registered Nurse (Emergency Room/Emergency Department)

•

Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing

•

Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience

•

Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from AHA

•

Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) documentation

•

Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and prioritization skills
