Required certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Recommended skills include strong clinical assessment, adaptability, and effective communication in high-acuity situations.
