This position involves working in a 12-bed Emergency Department at a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center. Key Responsibilities of the RN - ER/ED - Emergency Room/Emergency Department

•

Provide direct care to a variety of patient types from neonates to geriatrics

•

Utilize advanced emergency skills including chest tubes, drips, IV starts, and phlebotomy

•

Interpret cardiac rhythms and perform EKGs

•

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team including a 24/7 in-house respiratory therapist and hospitalist

Requirements of the RN - ER/ED - Emergency Room/Emergency Department

•

BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS, and de-escalation training certifications

•

Minimum 2 years of ER/ED experience

•

Proficiency in using Epic, GE monitors, Alaris, and Pyxis systems
